raras vezes dois “monstros” se juntam para criar discos deste calibre.
os virtuosos Ricky Skaggs (guitarrista) e Bruce Hornsby (pianista) reinterpretaram alguns dos clássicos da música tradicional (bem como velhos êxitos de Bruce Hornsby, com destaque para a deliciosa versão de “mandolin rain”), num disco de produção soberba onde é revelada, uma vez mais, a capacidade técnica e criativa destes dois músicos.
“ricky skaggs & bruce hornsby” é um disco que não me sugere grandes palavras. transporta-me de volta para as raízes da country (e da folk) norte-americana; porque é certamente, do melhor que a “tradição” do novo continente tem para nos oferecer.
